FUNDRAISING NEWS
BIJC's next movie night will be held on Saturday, November 6. Keep checking the weekly email newsletter for information about this event. And if you have movie suggestions, please share them with Glenn Lurie (gmlurie@aol.com) or Leslee Lauritzen (leslee@bnailisrael.net).
The next BIJC fundraising event will be a family BINGO night on Saturday, October 16. More details to follow.
The Fundraising Committee is looking for a few more volunteers. The pay is not great, but the benefits are fabulous!
SECOND ANNUAL B'NAI ISRAEL JEWISH CENTER GOLF TOURNAMENT AND BARBEQUE
Calling all golfers! It is time to dust off your clubs and head over to the driving range to work on your game. The second annual B'nai Israel Jewish Center Golf Tournament will be taking place on Sunday, October 3 at the Foxtail Golf Club in Rohnert Park. Hackers welcome! Sponsorship opportunities are available.
Foxtail Golf Club is hosting a fabulous package for this year's event: A round of golf (South course), golf cart, dinner, and awards ceremony for only $100.00 per person. The proceeds raised will benefit the B'nai Israel Jewish Center and are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. Members and friends who want to support the event but do not golf are welcome to attend the dinner and awards ceremony for a cost of $30 person, including gratuity.
Tee off time is scheduled for 1:00 PM. Prizes will be awarded for the longest drive and the drive closest to the hole. There will also be a best team score prize.
The tournament is open to all ages and skill levels. You do not have to be a member of the Center to participate. We encourage everyone to invite their golfing buddies to form teams.
The deadline to reserve your place in the golf tournament is Friday, September 24, 2010. Please contact Center President Jim Stern at (707) 778-1039 or president@bnaiisrael.net or Men's Club President Jeff Kraus at (707) 795-8663 or krausfarm@comcast.net for reservations or sponsorship information.
SEARCHING THE WEB?
BIJC can earn extra money through goodsearch.com. It's easy! Be sure to make goodsearch.com your everyday search engine, instead of Google or Yahoo. The Center gets a donation with every search. Just go to www.goodsearch.com, and follow the directions for adding Goodsearch to your toolbar as a default search engine. List B'nai Israel Jewish Cener as your charity. It's an easy and painless way to help much needed funds. Please contact Naomi Richman at 765-9844 for more information.
