High Holiday Prep: What Are We Asking For?

Wednesday, September 14, 2022 18 Elul 5782

7:00 PM - 8:30 PMZoom

Please join us for the virtual class entitled What Are We Asking For? led by our High Holiday guest rabbi, Rabbi Rebecca Joseph. (BIO). Our learning together will be followed by an open Q&A, with an opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the High Holidays.

Description:
Psalm 27 is recited from the beginning of Elul–the last month of the year–through Yom Kippur, and in many communities until Hoshana Rabbah near the end of Sukkot. The themes in this comforting prayer remind us that in the midst of fear and ongoing uncertainty, personal renewal and world repair are possible. We will explore asking for the one thing that each of us most seeks, and consider what it means to us “to dwell in the House of G_d,”  and “feel the sweetness of G_d’s embrace."
