Dear Friends,

I know this isn't the only request for a donation that you will receive, so why should this be the one you respond to? For me the answer is to keep our rich culture, history and values alive. To insure that we not only survive, but thrive as a vibrant Jewish community. After all the tragedy we have endured, I would hate for apathy to be the thing that takes us down. 

The money raised during this Yom Kippur Appeal is what keeps our lights on, what keeps paying for our wonderful staff, what allows us to celebrate holidays, to comfort each other in times of grief, to share our joy as we did recently when the hostages were released and to share our hopes for a peaceful future.

We recently had a joyous celebration of the 100th Anniversary of our building. If we want there to be a celebration marking 150 years, we need to be working on that now. Annual dues don’t cover our expenses and grant money is becoming more difficult to find and is more competitive. We need your generous financial support to be sustainable. Every dollar raised during the Yom Kippur Appeal goes directly to supporting B’nai Israel, our spiritual home, our joyous, vibrant Jewish Community.

If you have not yet contributed, please consider your donations as a way to honor the memory of those you said a prayer for at Yizkor or to demonstrate the love and commitment you have for our community.
